Every service user needs and values are respected in matter of Religion, Culture, Race or Ethnic origin and sexuality.

All service users are actively encouraged to maintain their social and cultural links with the community. This is a fundamental core to our care services.

All staff will collaborate and liaise as part of a Care Pathway with Community Psychiatric Services and other agencies to meet
the overall personal and health care needs and preferences

Guidelines
Care will be planned with regard to current research and guidelines on good practice. Where possible the service user and their family will be involved in the planning of care. The dignity of everyone within the home will be recognised and respected and will seek to defend and uphold each individuals human rights. Access to independent advocacy services will be provided and encouraged, where necessary.
Care
We will provide care that is non discriminatory.
Our service user will be treated with respect regardless
of age, sex or orientation, race, or religious belief.
We acknowledge the right of our service user to worship in
their own faith, and assistance will be given to make this
possible if required.
Staff Availability
Staff at Glenarie will make themselves available to discuss any matter with the service user or their chosen representative. Input from relatives will be encouraged and valued. Confidential information will always be treated as such, and the right of the service user to personal privacy is acknowledged.
The right of privacy extends to bedrooms, bathrooms and all personal space. Any limitations on privacy will be based on identified risks service users or others in the home. Any limitations will be discussed with the service user and their relatives / representatives and will be included in the care plan.
